Update on Corona Virus Letter to Parents (pdf)

Letter to Parents March 16 2020 (pdf)

Hello Parents,

Hope Academy is closely monitoring the rapidly evolving situation regarding COVID-19 (Corona Virus), and we want to keep you informed as we continue developing our preparedness and response plan. At this time, while we have no indication that we will be closing school, there are many schools across the country closed.

With that in mind, Hope Academy will follow the lead of Miami Dade Public Schools. We are preparing for virtual/remote learning for grades 3rd - 12th.  Students in grades K - 2nd will have a different process to follow. As this situation continues to develop, we will inform you how we will proceed.

As the corona virus spreads, we advise you not to travel to high risk areas,  as indicated by the CDC. If you do travel to any such areas or have contact with anyone else who has, please notify us immediately and impose a self-quarantine for 14 days.

We do know that some of you might be traveling to other areas, both internationally and domestically. We ask that you reconsider any such travel plans, especially to any areas with COVID-19 outbreaks, even if they have not been identified by the CDC as high-risk.  We must work together to keep our school safe upon returning from Spring Recess.

Please sign up to our Hope Academy Remind, to stay updated during this time. Text @hopeacad2 to 81010 to join.

Thank you and stay safe.

Mrs. Autar
